This role entails instructing undergraduate courses over an academic term, with duties aligned with the candidate's qualifications.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver undergraduate courses in Accounting.
  • Engage in academic research to improve instructional effectiveness.
  • Participate actively in departmental, school, and university committees.
  • Contribute to community service and pursue professional growth.
  • Guide, recruit, and mentor students.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals and organizations.
  • Assist in the development of curriculum for Accounting programs.
  • Coordinate initiatives within the Accounting field.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the department chair and Dean.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or Doctoral ABD in Accounting or a related area.
  • Possession of a professional accounting license is preferred.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills.
  • Ability to engage effectively with a diverse student body.

Experience:

Previous experience in the field of accounting, ideally within educational and corporate environments. Familiarity with university-level curriculum development is a plus.

  • May require extended periods of standing and handling of equipment.
