We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Medical Physicist to join our team at Inspira Health Network. As a key member of our Radiation Oncology department, you will be responsible for overseeing the physics activities system-wide, ensuring the highest level of quality and safety in patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee quality assurance testing and calibration of radiation therapy equipment
- Ensure quality assurance of patient treatment techniques, including IMRT and SRS/SBRT
- Review and approve treatment plans and charts
- Perform patient-specific quality assurance testing
- Oversee brachytherapy procedures, including HDR
- Supervise medical dosimetrists and physicists
- Participate in departmental quality improvement activities
- Develop and implement radiation-related policies and procedures
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and good safety practices
- M.S. in Medical Physics or Radiological Physics required; Ph.D. preferred
- Certified in Therapeutic Radiological Physics or Radiological Physics
- At least 5 years of clinical experience; 2 years of supervisory experience required
- Eligibility to become an Authorized Medical Physicist for HDR
