Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Meat Cutter to join our team at WinCo Foods. As a Meat Cutter, you will play a critical role in maintaining the highest level of fresh meat production, ensuring customer satisfaction, and upholding the quality and freshness of our products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to company standards and regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for internal and external customers.
  • Cut, grind, and wrap fresh meat products according to quality and freshness standards.
  • Stock and rotate products, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing waste.
  • Prevent shrink and control expenses by adhering to company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper merchandising of products, signing, and inventory levels in retail cases.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
  • Ability to consistently provide friendly, courteous service to internal and external customers.
  • Ability to work varied hours, primarily between 5:00 am and 11:00 pm, in a 24/7 operation.
  • Ability to perform visual inspections, read production guides, and product labels.
  • Ability to properly use cleaning chemicals and handle related food products per State and County laws, and WinCo standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and follow written work assignments/instructions.
  • Ability to reach, lift, and maneuver objects of varying dimensions and weights up to approximately 80 lbs.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and move rapidly, bend, twist, and turn frequently.
Additional Requirements
  • Food Handlers Certification (Per State Laws)
  • Machines and Equipment Operated: Scales, knives, band saws, meat tenderizers, meat slicers, grinders, and bailer.
