Medical Assistant/Registrar, Norton Cancer Institute Prompt Care

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Assistant/Registrar to join our team at Norton Cancer Institute Prompt Care. As a Medical Assistant/Registrar, you will be responsible for performing registration in computerized systems, pre-registering patients, and obtaining demographic and insurance information. You will also be responsible for scheduling patient appointments, securing referrals, and providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Perform registration in computerized systems
- Pre-register patients and obtain demographic and insurance information
- Schedule patient appointments and secure referrals
- Provide exceptional customer service
- Coordinate incoming and outgoing correspondence
- File patient charts and update medical records
- Assist nursing staff and perform phlebotomy
- Process laboratory specimens and verify laboratory reports
- Document patient information and maintain laboratory logs
- Prepare instruments for sterilization and order supplies
No experience required. We provide comprehensive on-the-job training. Desired: One year Nursing Assistant, PCA or MA. High School Diploma or GED; Certified Medical Assistant Desired: Certification or National Registry as a Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant.
