Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join our team at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation. As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our residents in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all foods according to the menu and standardized recipes in a safe and sanitary environment.
  • Suggest menu or recipe changes to minimize food waste and optimize inventory.
  • Ensure proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on spreadsheets and recipes.
  • Clean and sanitize facility equipment as needed to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
  • Lift, bend, and twist repetitively with minor assistance.

Requirements:
  • Ability to ensure quality food products are prepared according to menu and standardized recipes.
  • Ability to ensure foods are ready for service at specified times.
  • Ability to adapt to a variety of job duties and situations.
  • Ability to act as a team member and take on leadership roles as needed.
