This is a challenging and rewarding role for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join the team at APL Logistics Americas as a Warehouse Operations Specialist III. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing warehouse services, including loading, unloading, staging, and storage of customer products and materials, using specialized equipment such as forklifts and reach trucks.
Key Responsibilities- Loading and Unloading: Load picked orders or pull and load according to policies and procedures, completing appropriate paperwork, including Bill of Lading, Pick Report, Trailer Audit, and Lot Verification.
- Pulling Orders: Accurately locate and load customer product onto/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves according to established procedures and safety regulations.
- Operating and Maintenance: Assign/verify trailers to appropriate dock and/or yard location, trailers locked to dock-lock and/or chocking the wheels (if applicable), following all safety rules and Company policy.
- Reports: Complete activity and statistical reports as assigned by supervisor.
- Education: High School degree or equivalent required.
- Experience: Two (2) years forklift/tow motor experience required, including fork lift certification preferred.
- Skills: Knowledge of inventory control and general warehouse procedures, light data entry skills, ability to read and comprehend basic instructions, and ability to operate forklifts, tow motors, and other equipment.
The hourly wage for this position is $21.00, plus shift differential.
