About the Role

We are currently seeking a permanent full-time  Hostler Driver to join our vibrant team. The successful candidate will be responsible for efficiently moving and positioning trailers, containers, or other equipment within the terminal. This is a dynamic role that requires strong multitasking and prioritization skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct equipment inspections according to pre-inspection checklists.
  • Utilize the hostler to relocate containers from the grain scale to the stacking area and retrieve empty containers.
  • Operate forklifts at docking stations to load and cross-dock 53' OTR or 20'/40' containers, handling palletized goods, slip-sheeted goods, as well as loading bales and rolls of paper into containers.
  • Support maintenance with tasks related to the pickup and drop-off of Ray-Mont chassis.
  • Assist general laborers during idle periods with tasks such as cleaning intermodals, closing container doors, and removing trash.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in shunting or as a truck driver.
  • Proficiency as a forklift operator.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills.
