Job Title: Travel Nurse - MS/Tele - Acute Care

We are seeking a skilled Travel Nurse to join our team at a Critical Access Hospital in Illinois. This is a 13-week assignment with a competitive pay rate and comprehensive benefits package.

Job Summary:

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a Travel Nurse with experience in MS/Tele to work in a fast-paced acute care environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac monitoring and emergency response, as well as experience with patients with renal failure and total joint replacements.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care in a critical access hospital setting
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest medical advancements
  • Meet the requirements for the position, including a valid IL license and a minimum of 3 years of experience
Requirements:
  • IL license
  • Minimum 3 years experience
  • MS/Tele and Tele experience
  • Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response Skills/Experience: Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias, Telemetry -on the unit monitoring, Use of Rapid Response Teams
  • Required Endocrine/Metabolic Skills/Experience: IV insulin protocols, Titration of insulin drips. Feeding tube care and management experience required. Experience with patients with Renal failure required
  • Required IV therapy/Phlebotomy Skills/Experience: Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting IVs
  • Required Medication Skills/Experience: Heparin Protocols, Titrate Vasoactive drips
  • Required Neurological/Psychiatric Case Skills/Experience: CVA. Experience with Total Joint Replacements required
  • Required Respiratory Skills/Experience: External CPAP/BIPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Nasal Cannula, Oxygen face masks, Portable Oxygen tank, Non-invasive airway management, Tracheostomy Management
  • Required Professional Topics and Skills: Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIH preferred
  • Community Hospital Experience preferred
