Position Overview:
Xanitos is currently seeking Part-Time Environmental Services Technicians for evening shifts. This role involves maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various locations within a healthcare environment. Responsibilities may vary based on client needs and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly clean and polish lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
- Maintain cleanliness in rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, and locker rooms.
- Perform sweeping and vacuuming of floors.
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, door panels, and sills.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal areas.
- Replenish bathroom supplies as needed.
- Assist in transporting small equipment or tools between departments.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as a condition of employment. Experience in janitorial services is advantageous, particularly in medical cleaning settings.
- Successful candidates will undergo medical, background screening, and drug testing.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Physical Requirements:
The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods, walk, and perform manual tasks. Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of items up to 50 lbs is necessary. Vision capabilities include close, distance, peripheral vision, and depth perception, with or without corrective lenses. There may be exposure to chemicals requiring special clothing or safety equipment.
Work Environment:
Employees may encounter fumes or airborne particles and occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level is typically quiet.
