Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced researcher to join our team as a Tenured Professor in Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of California, San Diego.

About the Position

The successful candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular medicine and a proven track record of research excellence. They will be responsible for advancing clinical and translational research in cardiovascular medicine, teaching, and mentoring students and junior faculty members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct innovative and impactful research in cardiovascular medicine
  • Teach and mentor students and junior faculty members
  • Develop and lead research projects and collaborations
  • Secure extramural funding to support research activities
  • Contribute to the development of academic programs and policies
Requirements
  • MD or equivalent, MD/PhD, or PhD with an emphasis relevant to Cardiovascular Medicine
  • Independent extramurally-funded research program (NIH R01 or similar)
  • Board certified or Board eligible in Cardiology, and a California medical license or equivalent certification/permit
