Job Title: Class A CDL Delivery Driver

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Class A CDL Delivery Driver to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for safely transporting food and food-related products to customers in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver food and food-related products to customers.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Load and unload products from the trailer, and transport them to designated customer storage areas.
  • Verify delivery of products with customers and obtain proper signatures.
  • Collect money (cash or checks) where required, and load customer returns onto the trailer.
  • Ensure that the tractor, trailer, and freight are properly locked and/or secured.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • 12+ months commercial driving experience.
  • Valid CDL A.
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
  • Must be 21 years of age.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
  • Pass road test.
  • Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
  • Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Foodservice delivery experience.
  • Onboard computer and electronic log system experience (i.e. PeopleNet).
  • Hand-held point of delivery scanning system experience (i.e. POD).
  • Customer service related work experience.
