Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to join our team at Capital Program Management Inc. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction management and experience working with public works clients in the Sacramento region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist project managers with construction documentation and prepare reports, records, and files related to assigned activities.
  • Manage contracts and the out-to-bid process, and review and analyze professional services contracts and insurance requirements.
  • Document controls during the design, pre-construction, construction, and closeout phases, and assist in performing fiscal analysis related to facilities planning and construction accounting, budgeting, invoicing, and payment.
  • Schedule meetings, take meeting notes, and follow up on outstanding items, and coordinate with various agencies.
  • Assist in construction closeout and coordination for moving services, and operate a computer and assigned software to input data and develop reports.
Requirements
  • A minimum of [X] years of experience supporting public works modernization and new construction programs with a planning, architectural, engineering, or construction project management background.
  • Extensive client interaction requires exceptional people and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Ability to read plans and specifications, and proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Project.
  • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance required, and DOJ background clearance will be required.
