Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Garbage Truck Helper to join our team. As a Garbage Truck Helper, you will be responsible for collecting refuse from customer locations and loading it into a heavy-duty sanitation vehicle. This is a great opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our company.

Responsibilities
  • Collect refuse from customer locations and load it into a heavy-duty sanitation vehicle.
  • Assist the driver while maneuvering into positions for collection and disposal.
  • Maintain and partake in daily clean-up of vehicle.
  • Learn garbage routes to better assist driver.
  • Attend all required training, operational meetings, and mandatory monthly Safety Meetings.
Work Environment

As a Garbage Truck Helper, you will spend most of your day working outdoors, both in the cab of the truck and on the back of the truck. You must be able to physically mount and dismount the truck throughout the duration of the work day. You will also be required to lift, push, and pull waste bags and receptacles that weigh approximately lbs.

Qualifications
  • Applicants must meet physical standards as specified above.
  • Applicants must be at least 18 years of age and legally eligible to work in the United States.
  • Experience from the sanitation industry is strongly preferred.
