Equipped with a wide range of hand tools and equipment, you will perform your duties with accuracy, ensuring results that consistently meet high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Utilize engineering specifications and installation plans to set up tools and equipment for drilling and installing fasteners in complex structures, including double contoured skin panels and composite materials.
Employ various hand and machine tools, including precision alignment and drilling equipment.
Interpret technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications effectively.
Handle chemical lubricants, solvents, sealants, coatings, and adhesives as required.
Assemble and install structural components and sub-assemblies, contributing to the construction of major wing assemblies, including sealing and plumbing systems.
Utilize drills and high-impact vibratory tools, along with other hand tools, to complete tasks efficiently.
Conduct quality inspections of your work and ensure the area is free from foreign object debris (FOD).
Operate various mechanical lifts as necessary.
This position requires continuous physical activity, including bending, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
It is essential to be able to lift and carry weights between 10-35 pounds regularly.
This role is expected to be performed entirely onsite, adhering to export control compliance requirements.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year experience with hand tools and/or hand-held power tools.
- Experience following oral and written instructions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aircraft structural and mechanical work.
- 1+ years in aerospace, automotive, robotics, or a related field, including education and military experience.
Education:
High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) is required.
