Radiation Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Therapist to join our team at UC Davis Health System. As a Radiation Therapist, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate radiation treatments to patients with cancer.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver radiation therapy treatments to patients with cancer, using photon or electron beams, total body irradiation, stereotactic body radiation therapy, radiosurgery, 3D and IMRT treatments.
- Work closely with radiation oncologists, physicists, fellow radiation therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and safety of radiation treatments.
- Provide education and training to patients, families, and healthcare professionals on radiation therapy and cancer treatment.
- Document patient information and treatment plans in a timely and accurate manner.
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification.
- Certificate by the State of California in Therapeutic Radiology.
- Certificate by the American Registry and Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy, RT (T).
- Continuing education hours must be completed to maintain credentials.
- Biennial CPR Skills certification.
- Graduation from an accredited radiation therapy school.
This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to radiation and other hazardous materials. The successful candidate must be able to lift 25 pounds and assist in moving patients as needed.
