Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift to join our team at GE Vernova. As an Electro-Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of industrial equipment, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Electro-Mechanical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair complex electro-mechanical issues using analytical step-by-step processes, standard maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting guidelines.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform preventative maintenance on all aspects of plant infrastructure and equipment, including rotating equipment, machine servicing, electrical, and vehicle servicing.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and assistance as needed in the installation or rearrangement of production equipment, as well as general coaching to peers.
  • Quality Assurance: Responsible for quality assurance aspects relative to the job/task performed, ensuring adherence to industrial codes and standard procedures.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain work area housekeeping and assist in department/team housekeeping efforts.
  • Safety Procedures: Adhere to and follow all safety procedures, including lock-out/tag-out, report safety concerns, use appropriate PPE as required, and follow all safety practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Associates Degree in electrical/electronic engineering technology, mechanical engineering technology, industrial electronic technology, or comparable content degree program OR High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with a minimum of 2 years of work experience in a heavy industrial environment performing electronic and mechanical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in production equipment maintenance.
  • Eligibility: Willing and able to work any shift, emergency call-in repairs, holidays, weekends, and overtime on request and short notice.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift and carry at least 33 lbs and push and pull at least 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Background Check: Must pass background and drug screens.

  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards, working knowledge of regulatory standards, compliance requirements, rigging, emergency response, LOTO, industrial codes and standard procedures (ANSI, NEC, NFPA, OSHA).
