Join Our Team at Kennel Club LAX
We are a prominent and well-established pet boarding facility dedicated to providing exceptional care for dogs and cats. We are seeking passionate individuals who share our commitment to ensuring the highest standards of care for our overnight guests and daycare participants.
Position Overview:
The successful candidates will be responsible for a variety of roles within our facility, including:
- Kennel Attendant / Animal Care Specialist: Duties include feeding pets with specific dietary needs, maintaining cleanliness by washing bedding and dishes, walking dogs, and monitoring playgroups. You will also observe and document each animal's eating, bathroom habits, and behavior.
- Cattery Attendant: Responsibilities include cleaning cat habitats, managing litter boxes, and ensuring the well-being of our feline guests.
- Bather: This role involves grooming pets by bathing and brushing them, ensuring they leave the grooming area clean and free of mats.
- Receptionist: This position focuses on customer service, including checking in clients, updating records, and managing communications. Proficiency in computer skills and multitasking is essential.
Requirements:
All candidates must have prior experience (minimum of 6 months) in a veterinary clinic, animal boarding facility, or animal shelter. Additional qualifications include:
- Excellent communication and client service skills.
- Strong decision-making abilities and multitasking skills.
- Capability to handle pets safely and effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness in the facility.
- Dependability and punctuality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds and perform tasks requiring standing, bending, and walking for extended periods.
Physical Requirements:
Dependable attendance is crucial. Candidates must be able to work weekends and holidays, and should not have allergies to dogs, cats, or rabbits. We maintain a strict no-drug policy.
Education & Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with hands-on experience with animals.
