Job Summary

The Community Health Center of Snohomish County is seeking a skilled Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages, working in collaboration with other healthcare providers and support staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic and therapeutic medical services to patients, making sound medical assessments and treatment plans.
  • Obtain complete medical histories and physical data from patients, interpreting and integrating data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
  • Consult with physicians as needed to manage acute and chronic medical needs of patients.
  • Order laboratory and diagnostic procedures as necessary, synthesizing data to determine preliminary diagnoses and therapeutic plans.
  • Interview and advise patients on health and illness prevention, recommending community resources to meet patient and family needs.
  • Instruct patients and families on medications and treatment instructions, promoting medical care through direct patient care and education.
  • Identify special needs of CHC patients and work with staff to address those needs.
  • Participate in Quality Improvement and Utilization Management programs and activities.
  • Document encounters in an accurate and timely manner.
Requirements
  • Master's degree or post-Master's Certificate as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP).
  • Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) license with prescriptive privileges in the State of Washington.
  • DEA controlled substances registration.
  • Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (CPR/AED) certification.
  • Successful completion of CHC's credentialing and privileging review upon hire and re-credentialing as appropriate.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Membership of the American Nurses Association (ANA).
  • CPT-4 coding experience.
  • ICD-10 coding experience.
  • Healthcare information systems experience, including electronic health records and practice management systems.
  • Experience in a multiple provider medical practice.
  • Working with low-income, multi-ethnic populations.
