Overview

Responsibilities
  • Provide daily care, health needs, safety, and comfort to residents, including assessments and documentation of their health.
  • Supervise, perform, and provide written/verbal care assignments, routine skills, and procedures to ensure quality care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of resident care plans, maintaining up-to-date nursing care plans and documenting progress.
  • Make daily and periodic visits to observe for symptoms, reactions to medication, and/or treatment.
  • Obtain and document vital signs, intake and output, weights, diet supplements, and replacements, cultures, etc.
  • Assist with the orientation and on-going training of staff to ensure required skill levels are maintained.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid LPN license in good standing according to State and Federal requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of safe and effective nursing practices within the State of Florida.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of programs such as Excel, Word, etc.
  • Personal integrity and ability to deal tactfully with residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and personnel.
  • Passion for caring for people.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and stay within Compliance and HIPAA guidelines.
