Automotive Emissions Specialist

The role of an Automotive Emissions Specialist at Omega Solutions Inc. involves conducting thorough emission tests on vehicles, utilizing advanced equipment and techniques to ensure accurate results. This includes exhaust emissions testing, road testing, and miscellaneous testing in a climatic chamber. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing test data, both paper and digital media, and reporting results to the Emissions Lab Manager for further evaluation and feedback.
ResponsibilitiesAs an Emissions Laboratory Technician, you will:
- Perform frequent driving tasks, including operating dynamometer-equipped vehicles, which require special training.
- Commonly sit at a desk or within a test vehicle.
- Occasionally walk, stand, or stoop, with occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling up to 100 pounds.
This position involves working in a dynamic environment with varying shift schedules, including 6AM-3PM and 3PM-12AM shifts. You must be open to working both shifts out of the year, with a minimum of 40 hours per week, including occasional Saturdays and overtime as needed.
RequirementsWe are seeking individuals with a strong foundation in automotive industry knowledge, preferably with 1-3 years of experience. A High School Diploma is required, along with the ability to drive manual and automatic transmission vehicles, basic Microsoft Office skills, and highly organized dependability.
Preferred QualificationsCandidates with recent automotive experience, solid English language proficiency, and skills in MS Office applications will have a competitive edge. Knowledge of emission testing processes, formal customer service training, and proficiency in ALL MS Office applications are desirable traits.
