About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Service Technician to join our team at TransForce. As a Diesel Service Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex mechanical work on heavy-duty trucks and related components.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Skilled Work: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty truck components.
  • Troubleshoot Complex Issues: Identify and resolve problems with diesel engines, transmissions, and other heavy-duty truck systems.
  • Train and Mentor: Assist in the training and development of junior technicians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform complex repairs.
  • Maintain a Safe and Clean Work Environment: Ensure that all work areas are clean, organized, and safe for technicians and other personnel.
  • Communicate Effectively: Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and other technicians.
Requirements
  • CDL: Possess a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Certifications: Hold current certifications in A/C, Brake, and DOT Annual Inspector.
  • Experience: Have a minimum of 4 years of experience as a diesel service technician or equivalent vocational training.
  • Specialization: Possess a minimum of one specialization, such as engine or drive train.
  • Tools and Equipment: Possess necessary tools and equipment to perform job duties.
