Position Overview:

We are seeking a qualified Hematology/Oncology Physician to provide exceptional medical care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. This role involves working with a diverse patient demographic, primarily adults and geriatrics, focusing on hematology and medical oncology.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patients with hematologic conditions and provide comprehensive oncology care.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor board meetings.
  • Perform necessary procedures including management of VAD/CV catheters.
  • Order diagnostic tests and imaging, and prescribe appropriate treatments.
  • Administer chemotherapy in collaboration with nursing staff.

Practice Details:
  • Patient Volume: 8-12 outpatient and 8 inpatient cases.
  • Practice Composition: 60% Hematology, 40% Medical Oncology.
  • Service Level: Trauma Level III.
  • Utilize EMR systems such as Aria and Meditech.

Call Coverage:
Expect to provide call coverage for hematologic emergencies during nights and weekends.

Requirements:
  • Active Pennsylvania Medical License.
  • Board Certification in Medical Oncology or Hematology.
  • Current ACLS certification.
  • Candidates must be local or within driving distance.
  • Must have a clean professional record.
  • Able to commit to a minimum of two weeks of coverage per month.
