We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our Adult Psychiatric Nursing Unit at Ascension Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health Hospital in Hoffman Estates, IL.
Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to behavioral health patients in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Perform initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments according to accepted standards of nursing practice.
- Develop a nursing plan of care consistent with the master treatment plan.
- Participate in treatment team conferences to assist in planning and revising goals, objectives, and interventions.
- Implement nursing plan of care for assigned patients and conduct group therapy sessions.
- Evaluate patient response to interventions and revise nursing plan of care as needed.
- BLS Provider certification within 1 month of hire date.
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing.
- Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or required professional licensure at time of hire.
- 1-2 years of experience working with geriatric patients with BH diagnoses.
- Willingness to cross-train and float throughout the hospital as needed.
