About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Towneplace Suites Tuscaloosa. As a key member of our hotel operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas in good repair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel facilities and equipment, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and HVAC work.
  • Facilities Management: Inspect guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to identify areas for repair, touch-up, or replacement.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Assist in the systematic application of the preventive maintenance program to ensure the hotel's facilities and equipment are well-maintained.
  • Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of guests, fellow associates, and hotel assets in conjunction with hotel management.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with colleagues and management to ensure seamless operations and resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
  • Technical Skills: Possess basic mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of hand and power tools.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to bend, reach, kneel, push, and stretch, and lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with varying weather conditions and potential exposure to heat, cold, and stress.
  • Language Skills: Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to speak, hear, and understand English.
