Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse Practitioner

Position Overview: Become an integral part of a premier Cardiovascular practice in central Michigan.
Role Details: We are seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) for our inpatient post-operative surgical clinic. Our highly recognized Vascular clinics cater to multiple counties in the region. The selected provider will be responsible for morning rounds, typically concluding by 1 PM. Following rounds, the role includes clinic responsibilities for 3-4 days a week. In the event of a consult, the provider will also manage those cases. The NP/PA will collaborate closely with physicians, primarily focusing on post-operative cardiac, cardiology, and vascular patients.
Team Environment: Our multidisciplinary team comprises surgeons, internists, podiatrists, interventional radiologists, nurses, and coordinators, delivering 24/7 care for patients requiring emergent, short-term, and long-term treatment.
Training Opportunities: - Willingness to train candidates without direct cardiac ICU experience.
- ICU experience is preferred; however, Emergency Medicine experience will also be considered.
- Procedural skills are advantageous but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
- On-call duties will involve two weekends each month, with rounding responsibilities on those days.
Work Schedule: Full-time role, Monday to Friday, with weekend on-call duties, though not every weekend.
Required Qualifications: - Certified BLS/ACLS Provider, to be obtained within 12 months of hire.
- Licensed Nurse Practitioner and Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan OR Licensed Physician Assistant through the State of Michigan.
Compensation and Benefits: We offer competitive benefits and compensation based on experience, ranging from $115K to $130K. Additional benefits include health and dental insurance, matching 403B, life insurance, vacation, relocation assistance, and much more.
