Key Responsibilities:
Security Systems Design and Implementation:
- Design and configure secure communication systems, including cryptographic devices, network encryption appliances, and key management infrastructure.
- Develop and implement COMSEC policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
Security Audits and Risk Assessments:
- Conduct risk assessments and security audits to identify vulnerabilities and develop appropriate countermeasures.
Incident Response and Monitoring:
- Monitor and analyze network traffic for security incidents, intrusions, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Respond to security incidents, conduct investigations, and implement remediation measures.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate COMSEC solutions into the overall network architecture.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve COMSEC-related issues.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or Associate's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience as a COMSEC Network Engineer or a similar role, with a focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining secure communication systems.
