Mental Health Resource Center is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of mental health and behavioral health services to the community. Our offerings include 24-hour emergency support, inpatient psychiatric care for individuals of all ages, and outpatient services such as medication management, case management, and counseling.

Job Summary

The Environmental Services Technician is responsible for executing all necessary tasks related to general cleaning and light janitorial duties in accordance with established standards. This role collaborates with a team to maintain a clean and safe environment for both patients and staff.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure cleanliness throughout the facility using various cleaning agents.
  • Maintain clear aisles, hallways, and walkways to prevent safety hazards for individuals served, employees, and visitors.
  • Keep floors clean through vacuuming, sweeping, or mopping, with scheduled maintenance for stripping and sealing.
  • Oversee outside walkways, ensuring they are free of debris and swept daily.
  • Empty trash receptacles and replace liners at the end of each shift or as needed, ensuring surrounding areas are clean.
  • Clean restrooms, including commodes, sinks, showers, and plumbing fixtures.
  • Dust and clean surfaces in offices and common areas, including furniture and countertops.
  • Report maintenance issues to the appropriate manager and assist with the completion of work requests.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Prior experience in general housekeeping or within a healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Ability to interact with individuals who may have mental health challenges.
  • Must adhere to all internal and external cleaning procedures, including those related to licensure and accreditation.

This is a full-time position with shifts available during weekdays and weekends.
