Essential Qualifications:

  • Educational Background:

Possession of a master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required.

  • Licensure:

A valid Speech-Language Pathology License from the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DHMH) is mandatory.

Desirable Experience:

  • Prior experience working with children and adolescents.
  • Experience in educational settings, including participation in IEP meetings.

Key Responsibilities:

Insight Global is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate with students, parents, school administrators, and supervisory personnel in both oral and written formats.
  • Provide guidance to school staff and families regarding speech-language development and its relevance to the educational curriculum.
  • Engage in collaborative school-based teams for students requiring speech-language services.
  • Exhibit proficiency in utilizing both formal and informal assessment tools.
  • Identify students who qualify for speech and language services based on individual requirements and established guidelines.
  • Prepare clear and concise oral and written reports adhering to recommended formats and timelines (e.g., assessment reports, quarterly progress reports).
  • Develop and execute suitable objectives for IEPs, IFSPs, and Service Plans that align with students' documented needs.
  • Implement evidence-based intervention strategies, tailored instructional methods, and assistive technology to accommodate diverse student needs and learning preferences.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of speech-language student progress and therapy logs with pertinent data.
  • Accurately complete Third Party billing within the designated timelines.
  • Engage in continuous professional development relevant to the field.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
