Job Title: Senior Microservices Consultant

About the Role:
Infosys is seeking a skilled Senior Microservices Consultant to join our team. As a Senior Microservices Consultant, you will be responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders and applying your technical expertise across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle, including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition, and Design. You will play a crucial role in creating high-level design artifacts and delivering high-quality code deliverables for a module. Additionally, you will lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition, and warranty.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Alternatively, three years of progressive experience in the specialty can be considered in lieu of every year of education. At least 4 years of relevant Information Technology experience are required. The location for this position is Richardson, TX. This role may require travel and/or relocation.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to use Spring Boot, Spring Cloud Netflix, Spring Hibernate/Spring Data for creating Java-based microservices. Hands-on experience with messaging components, including Kafka Consumer/Producer development. Unit test automation using frameworks like JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito. Ability to create OpenAPI specification and use it for top-down and bottom-up generation of code/specification. Working knowledge of Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, and Git. Hands-on experience in developing, deploying, and monitoring applications and packages in AWS. Experience with developing microservices using NoSQL databases, such as MongoDB, Cassandra, and DocumentDB, with a good understanding of data sharding and read/write optimizations. Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0 grant types and OpenID Connect to secure microservices. Understanding of container technology and container orchestration platforms, including Kubernetes and PCF. Ability to comprehend how microservices are packaged and deployed into any one of these platforms. Hands-on experience working with Microservice Patterns, including circuit breaker, service discovery, service registration, and API gateway. Experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases, such as Oracle, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL. Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) environment and their frameworks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
