Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team at MidLantic Urology. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • The Medical Assistant will provide administrative support to healthcare professionals, including scheduling appointments, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring seamless communication with patients and staff.
  • Assist with routine clinical tasks, such as vital sign measurement, phlebotomy, and basic lab tests, under the supervision of licensed medical professionals.
  • Prepare patients for examinations, take medical histories, and educate patients on medications, treatments, and health management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations when handling sensitive patient information.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to achieve effective patient outcomes and maintain a safe and efficient work environment.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 6 months of experience working in a physician's office, preferably in urology.
  • Graduation from a Medical Assistant program or equivalent experience (based on State regulation requirements).
  • Ability to perform well in stressful situations, excellent problem-solving skills, and proficiency in using computer programs and applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional patient service throughout all interactions.
