JOB SUMMARY
Welcome to the job description for a Horticulture Specialist position at Cresco Labs.
The Horticulture Specialist will oversee the on-site cultivation of medical cannabis gardens. Responsibilities include managing plant production, ensuring health and quality control, and delivering premium product output. The role also encompasses daily plant care tasks such as watering, pruning, harvesting, and trimming.
- Plant Care Responsibilities:
- Maintain plant vitality through various activities like pruning, topping, and trimming in accordance with company guidelines
- Transplant plants, manage soil, and harvest efficiently and timely
- Execute tasks such as bucking wet or dry plants post-harvest
Facility Maintenance:
- Ensure cleanliness and safety within the cultivation facility
- Organize and clean cultivation tools and equipment
Documentation and Reporting:
- Assist in tracking plants from inception to harvest
- Guarantee precise documentation of plant tracking and other pertinent information
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS
- At least two years of experience in production, ideally in a regulated sector related to human consumption
- Strong time-management and multitasking capabilities
- Physical ability to lift heavy equipment, work in diverse climates, and adapt to a dynamic environment
