Role Summary:

This position is integral to Robust AI's Manufacturing team as we advance towards deploying our inaugural production fleet of robots. As a Mechanical Assembly Specialist, you will undertake various responsibilities related to the assembly of our robotic systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble all mechanical and electrical components of the robots following detailed work instructions.
  • Conduct in-line and end-of-line manufacturing tests to ensure quality standards.
  • Document and monitor performance issues during manufacturing and deployment phases.
  • Support quality control measures and manage inventory effectively.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of robot construction and functionality.
  • Provide constructive feedback on work instructions and technical documentation.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in assembling electro-mechanical hardware or in a related field.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow written instructions accurately.
  • Flexibility to adapt to various tasks to support team success.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace applications, particularly Sheets.
  • Experience with power tools and assembly equipment.
  • Able to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and part schematics.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic experience with SolidWorks.
  • Experience in writing Work Instructions, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), or other technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with command line interfaces, Linux-based operating systems, and basic Bash commands.
  • Experience with metrology and inspection tools.
  • IPC-620 Certification or experience in wire harness manufacturing/ASE certifications.
  • Familiarity with Jira or other project tracking systems.
