Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the established standards of care within the medical field and specialty.
- Exercise full authority over the diagnosis and treatment plans for each patient.
- Provide care within the limits of professional practice.
- Maintain necessary credentials and pursue ongoing education as required.
- Document patient medical histories, including evaluations, medications, treatments, allergies, and test results.
- Assess patient symptoms and determine suitable treatment options.
- Prescribe medications in accordance with legal regulations and inform patients of potential risks and interactions.
- Oversee and evaluate the performance of Medical Assistants to ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Advise patients on nutrition, fitness, and hygiene to empower them in managing their health.
- Achieve self-sufficiency as measured by productivity metrics.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives as directed.
- Complete all necessary documentation and coding within a specified timeframe.
Qualifications:
- Must have graduated from an accredited medical training program.
- Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in clinical skills necessary for providing comprehensive primary care.
- Licensure from the State and the Drug Enforcement Administration is mandatory.
Work Setting:
- Work is conducted primarily in an outpatient clinic environment, with occasional responsibilities at various locations.
- Some travel may be necessary to other facilities.
