Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our culinary team at The Laurels of Forest Glenn. As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing delicious, nourishing meals that meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs of our guests. Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals that meet the nutritional and dietary needs of our guests
  • Follow standardized recipes and menu cycles developed by registered dietitians
  • Cook and prepare appetizing, well-presented meals in quantities that are served at the proper temperatures and within the appropriate time frames
  • Use food supplies and equipment in an efficient and economic manner to prevent waste
  • Prepare and maintain food alternatives to accommodate guest choices and refusals of meals served
  • Supervise culinary staff with regard to food storage, food preparation, tray assembly, and cleaning
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One year of experience as a cook in an institutional food service setting preferred
