Position OverviewThe Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of the healthcare team, delivering expert nursing care to patients in accordance with an established Physician Plan of Treatment. This role adheres to the Nurse Practice Act and complies with the policies and procedures of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver proficient nursing care to patients.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient and family needs.
- Communicate any changes in patient status to the physician and Nursing Supervisor.
- Implement preventive and therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Educate patients on safety measures, medication effects, and health care practices.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Maintain professional development through continuing education.
- Document nursing activities accurately and submit reports in a timely manner.
- Collaborate effectively with facility administration and staff.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Current nursing license valid under the State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of one year experience in an acute care environment.
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation certification.
- Demonstrated maturity and responsibility.
- Knowledge of disease processes and emergency interventions.
- Strong observational judgment and communication skills.
- Good physical and mental health.
- Completion of agency employment processes and orientation.
Competency in this role is demonstrated through the ability to:
- Provide nursing care within the guidelines of the State Nurse Practice Act.
- Develop and implement realistic care plans.
- Continuously assess the evolving physical, emotional, and social conditions of patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Document relevant information accurately in accordance with agency policies.
