Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting diagnostic cardiopulmonary evaluations and therapy treatments for patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
  • Performing cardiopulmonary diagnostic tests to aid in patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Administering clinical care, including aerosol medications, breathing exercises, and therapeutic interventions.
  • Educating patients on disease prevention, cardiopulmonary health, and adherence to medication.
  • Accurately documenting clinical information in patient medical records and billing documents.
  • Completing billing records for diagnostic and rehabilitative therapy procedures with precision.
  • Communicating assessments and updates regarding the patients' Plan of Care with the healthcare team and referring physicians.
  • Demonstrating effective interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Ensuring a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety management and infection control protocols.
  • Scheduling patient appointments for diagnostic and rehabilitative therapy services.
  • Following directives and complying with all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a Committee on Accreditation of Respiratory Care (COARC) approved program.
  • National certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) is required; registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) is preferred.
  • Must be licensed to practice respiratory therapy by the state board of professional regulation.
