We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative to join our team at Neighborhood Health Center. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our patients and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Front Desk Operations: Assist with opening and closing procedures, print daily appointment schedules, and ensure appointments are confirmed.
- Patient Registration: Verify patient information, correct errors in the computer system, and revise patient documentation and forms during the registration process.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance information, including active and expired dates, and input all insurance information accurately.
- Communication: Send patient messages and assist patients in filling out required forms.
- Cash Handling: Collect co-payments, including sliding fee scale nominal fees, and adhere to cash handling policies.
- Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Medical office experience or medical terminology knowledge preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong attention to detail, commitment to superior customer service, and ability to thrive in a high-energy work environment.
- Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language. A second language of Spanish is preferred.
