We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Youth Enrichment Program Instructor to join our team at the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago. As a key member of our before and after school programs, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning and implementing child-centered programs that promote learning, character development, and healthy living.
  • Establish positive relationships with children, parents, and staff, demonstrating respect, responsibility, caring, and honesty.
  • Monitor and supervise children during programs, ensuring their safety and security.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and effective program environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; related college coursework or experience in childcare, education, or recreation preferred.
  • Must be at least 17 years of age and/or 5 years older than the oldest child participating in the program.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to present ideas and concepts clearly.
  • Commitment to the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago's mission and values.
