Key Responsibilities:
The tasks you will undertake include:

  • Drafting and reviewing proposals while supporting business development and marketing efforts through participation in meetings and industry events.
  • Executing service contracts with public and private clients, including the development and negotiation of project scopes, budgets, and schedules.
  • Assembling the most suitable internal project team based on expertise and project requirements.
  • Leading the creation of project plans, specifications, and bid documents.
  • Maintaining timely communication with the project team and clients regarding project progress and concerns.
  • Overseeing project team members, providing mentorship, feedback, and technical guidance in municipal, transportation, or environmental sectors.
  • Monitoring project deliverables, expenses, and budgets to ensure adherence to project goals.
  • Taking appropriate actions to address any identified quality, budget, or schedule concerns.
  • Preparing routine project updates for clients.
  • Managing invoicing processes for clients.
  • Ensuring that quality control measures are implemented before deliverables are presented.
  • Compiling project summaries for future marketing efforts.
  • Administering the construction of municipal projects.
  • Building and maintaining client relationships through regular interactions.

Qualifications:
What you bring to the role:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering is required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the Iowa or Illinois Municipal market, serving multiple clients.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification is required (WI preferred, with the ability to obtain WI certification).
  • Proven experience in managing multiple projects and clients.
  • Extensive knowledge of permitting and regulatory requirements in Iowa and/or Illinois.
  • Familiarity with various funding sources utilized by municipal clients is preferred.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required; sponsorship is not available for this position.
