Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care in alignment with established protocols and standards of the healthcare organization. Implement and oversee patient care plans.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions as necessary.
  • Evaluate and adjust care plans to achieve desired patient outcomes.
  • Act as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary patient care.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to nursing protocols.
  • Follow through on physician and nursing directives.
  • Assess and coordinate discharge planning needs with the healthcare team.
  • Identify educational needs of patients and their families, considering cultural and individual factors.
  • Provide relevant teaching and educational resources.

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Licensure and Certifications:

  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be required based on the clinical area.
  • Additional certifications may be required based on specific patient care settings.

Work Environment:

  • Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to function in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately.

Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum one year of recent acute care RN experience in a hospital setting is required.
  • Experience in specialized care settings may be necessary based on the position.

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Requires normal vision and hearing capabilities.
