Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Critical Care Pediatric Registered Nurse to join our team at Concentric Healthcare Staffing in San Diego, California. This is a 13-week contract opportunity with the possibility of extension or conversion to a permanent position.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $89.00 to $114.80 per hour, depending on experience and location. The estimated annual salary is $185,760 - $238,976 based on a 40-hour workweek.

The benefits package includes paid orientation, 6 days of requested time off, and self-scheduling. Additionally, you will have access to professional development opportunities and a supportive team environment.

Job Description

As a Critical Care Pediatric RN, you will provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assessing and managing patients' medical conditions, including cardiac surgical care, cardiology patients, complex congenital patients, acquired heart disease patients, heart transplantation, VAD's, and ECMO.
  • Developing and implementing individualized patient care plans to meet their unique needs.
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.
  • Providing education and support to patients and families to promote optimal health outcomes.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current CA license in hand or pending with ETA of when it will post.
  • 2+ years of CVPICU/CTICU experience leading up to assignment.
  • PEDS Cardiac exp - MUST be cardiac trained.
  • Heart transplant experience.
  • Willingness to float between units, except OR, PACU, and ED.
  • BLS and PALS certifications.
  • Experience in Ventilators, multiple monitors, and EKG interpretation.
Unit Overview

You will be working in a 30-37 bed unit, providing care to patients ranging from neonatal to 23 years old. The unit has a Standard Level of nursing practice and requires flu shots. Shifts are variable, with 3x12 shifts considered, and straight nights (no straight days) may be discussed during the interview process.
