Field Operations Supervisor

Summary/Objective:
The Project Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the initiation and daily functions of field technician teams, ensuring that production targets are achieved while adhering to all safety protocols. This role supports the Field Manager/Project Manager in organizing and coordinating project tasks.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time role. Workdays are Monday through Friday, with hours varying based on client needs and project availability. Some evening and weekend work may be necessary depending on job requirements.
Salary: Negotiable
Travel Requirements:
Travel up to 10% is anticipated for this position.
Key Responsibilities:

- Ensure all project requirements, including equipment, supplies, and logistical arrangements, are adequately prepared and in place.
- Foster health and safety awareness among employees and work to identify and mitigate workplace hazards.
- Maintain precise records of project equipment/assets and manage inventory effectively.
- Supervise daily operations of the project team, including staff, production, and equipment management.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve discrepancies between actual production and forecasts derived from the provided Schedule Tracker.
- Ensure Field Technicians have a consistent flow of assigned work by planning assignments that include maps, areas, and equipment.
- Utilize GPS, breadcrumb applications, and/or smart routing of work when applicable to enhance production efficiency.
- Provide training to Field Technicians as necessary and identify training needs as the project evolves, ensuring knowledge gaps are addressed.
- Conduct monthly inspections of vehicles and equipment, completing documentation and providing copies to the Project Manager while adhering to company vehicle policies.
- Enforce all company safety policies and procedures consistently.
Work Environment:
This role requires outdoor work in various weather conditions and terrains, as well as time spent in a traditional office environment.
Physical Requirements:
This position necessitates close vision and the ability to adjust eyesight, along with the capability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand on a stool as needed.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in customer service and client relations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and other scheduling/tracking software.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to identify gaps and respond with clear decision-making.
- Experience with payroll, time tracking, and invoicing.
- Familiarity with requisitioning and quality control processes.
- Focus on performance improvement.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of related education and work experience preferred, or equivalent academic education and experience/Military Experience.
- Minimum of 1 year of supervisory or lead experience in project or field settings.
