Job Summary:

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including preparing patients for imaging procedures, operating imaging equipment, and analyzing images to diagnose and treat medical conditions. This is a travel position, and you will have the opportunity to work in different locations and gain new experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for imaging procedures, including administering medications and positioning patients for optimal image quality.
  • Operate imaging equipment, such as gamma cameras and PET scanners, to capture high-quality images of patients.
  • Analyze images to diagnose and treat medical conditions, working closely with radiologists and other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop and implement patient care plans, taking into account patient needs and medical histories.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and optimal outcomes.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or a related field.
  • Current certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB) or a related certification.
  • Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably in a nuclear medicine department.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
