We are seeking a skilled Commercial Sheet Metal Installer to join our team at Upson Company. As a Commercial Sheet Metal Installer, you will be responsible for installing sheet metal roofing and wall panels on commercial projects, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to industry standards.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a high level of quality and install sheet metal roofing and wall panels correctly according to Upson Company and SMACNA standards.
- Understand and interpret shop drawings and plans to ensure accurate installation.
- Install ACM panels, exterior cladding, soffits, fascias, gutters, and downspouts.
- Perform copper detailing and soldering.
- Install all types of standing seam panel systems.
- 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to pass pre-hire physical and pre-hire drug screen.
- Valid driver's license with no restrictions and reliable transportation.
- Sheet metal hand tools required.
- Minimum 1 year's experience installing sheet metal for commercial roofing (preferred).
- Ability to reach, lift, and maneuver supplies and ladders up to 50 lbs.
- Stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently.
- Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
- Ability to work in varying outdoor climate conditions for extended periods.
- Self-motivated and able to work without supervision.
- Layout and fabrication experience beneficial.
- Fluent in English.
- Bi-lingual English and Spanish beneficial.
