This position performs a wide range of laboratory procedures, including specimen processing, testing, and result reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in clinical laboratory science and be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine and complex laboratory procedures, including specimen processing and handling, testing, and result reporting.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
- Assist in the development of new procedures and protocols.
- May perform phlebotomy and other patient-oriented tasks.
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities.
- Utilize the Laboratory Information System to manage and report results.
- Bachelor's Degree in a chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology from an accredited institution.
- One year of approved clinical laboratory experience, including a clinical rotation through various laboratory sections.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS), or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) from a recognized accrediting agency.
Full-time position with a work schedule of 2PM - 10:30PM.
