Job Summary

As a Locksmith Specialist with the Davis School District, you will play a critical role in maintaining the security and integrity of our facilities. Under the supervision of the foreman, you will install, maintain, and repair locks and door control hardware, cut keys, manage key control, and ensure the overall security of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair locks and door control hardware, including combination safe locks.
  • Cut keys and manage key control systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on locks and door control hardware.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the foreman to develop and implement security plans.

Requirements:

  • Four years of experience in locksmithing or a related field.
  • Knowledge of lock mechanisms, keyways, and key blanks.
  • Ability to read and write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
  • Formal training or apprenticeship training in locksmithing preferred.
  • Driver's license and locksmith certification preferred.

Working Conditions:

This is a full-time position, working 8 hours per day, 257 days per year. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent deadlines and priorities. The position requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work at heights. The Davis School District offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
