Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Fire Suppression Technician to join our team. As a key member of our fire suppression team, you will be responsible for servicing and maintaining portable fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and pre-engineered fire suppression systems.

About the Role

Our Fire Suppression Technicians travel to current customer sites to perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on fire protection equipment. This includes recharging, repairing, and hydrostatic testing of equipment, as well as advising customers on fire protection techniques and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Servicing and maintaining fire protection equipment, including portable fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and pre-engineered fire suppression systems
  • Performing routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections on fire protection equipment
  • Advising customers on fire protection techniques and compliance with industry standards
  • Monitoring and maintaining the proper working order of company vehicles and recharge equipment
Requirements
  • Experience in the fire protection industry, specifically the servicing of fire extinguishers and suppression products is required
  • Education in fire protection industry and skilled trade is desired, as well as solid mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and industry compliance
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills
  • Time Management – strong ability to organize and manage multiple priorities

Salary Information

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on experience.
