About the Position:

The Department of Radiology at the University of Minnesota Medical School is seeking a full-time radiologist to join our team. As a radiologist, you will be responsible for interpreting diagnostic imaging in the chest, abdomen, and pelvis at a quaternary care center that serves both inpatients and outpatients.

Preferred qualifications include completion of a fellowship specializing in abdominal or chest imaging. However, a desire to provide high-quality clinical care is the chief requirement. Both clinically focused and academic track applicants will be considered. Academic rank, compensation, and appointment type will be based on qualifications and experience.

The department has consistently ranked in the top 20 in NIH-funded research for over 5 years and is home to the Center for Magnetic Resonance Research, an internationally renowned center for ultrahigh field MRI with some of the most advanced MR instrumentation in the world.

An interest in research is encouraged, and there are substantial departmental and institutional resources for research activities. However, there is no research requirement for this position.

Minimum requirements include an M.D. or equivalent degree, eligibility for medical licensure in the State of Minnesota, board certification or board eligibility status, and completion of ACGME-accredited radiology training.

For academic track applicants, evidence of scholarship in research or education is needed. Academic time will be used to pursue scholarly work in the candidate's area of specialty or research expertise.
