Minnetonka Public Schools is seeking a Paraprofessional Substitute Educator to work in our elementary Spanish Immersion classrooms. The successful candidate will provide instructional support to students and assist the licensed teacher in classroom management.
Responsibilities- Provide instructional support to students in small groups and individually under the supervision of the classroom teacher.
- Supervise students during recess and the teacher's lunch break and prep period.
- Assist the licensed teacher in classroom management, including maintaining a safe and organized learning environment.
- Perform other duties of a similar nature or level.
- Demonstrated language proficiency in both Spanish and English.
- Experience working with school-age children.
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative and work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to respect, protect, and maintain confidentiality.
- Demonstrated ability to follow through on projects and tasks.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, punctuality, and efficiency.
- Evidence of the ability to work in a team environment.
- Evidence of excellent human relations and oral communication skills.
The Paraprofessional Substitute Educator will work in a dynamic and fast-paced elementary school environment. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a variety of situations.
