Job Title: Delivery Driver

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team at Cloverdale Building Supplies. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering building materials to our customers while maintaining a high level of customer service and ensuring the safe operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify loads against shipping papers and ensure accurate delivery of goods.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and represent our company with a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Unload shipments using safe unloading practices and knowledge of construction sites.
  • Collect payment for goods delivered and for delivery charges if not prepaid.
  • Maintain contact with our sales team to receive delivery instructions.
  • Inspect truck equipment, including tires, lights, brakes, gas, oil, and water, and perform daily maintenance inspections.
  • Build loads, stock lumber, load customers, and plan future loads when not actively on deliveries.
  • Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safe driving practices.
  • A clean driving record.
  • A For-Hire endorsement or Class B CDL.
  • Ability to lift up to 80lbs.
  • Willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
